Business Details - Castell Y Waun / Chirk Castle

Chirk Castle is without doubt one of the finest tourist attractions in the local area, packed with history and culture from over 7 centuries.

Located in 500 acres of historic parkland, Chirk Castle is one in a chain of fortresses built in the late 13th Century to maintain the conquests of Edward I in Wales. Many of its Medieval owners were powerful and important figures in English history.

Surrounded by over 10 acres of award winning gardens, Chirk Castle is now owned and run by the National Trust and open to visitors Wednesday to Sunday between April and October each year.
